Aikido Kenkyukai International. Tanzania (A.K.I. Tanzania)

Aikido is one of the Japanese Budo (traditional martial arts).  It is not primarily a system of combat, but rather a means of self-cultivation and improvement. The goal of Aikido is not the defeat of others, but the defeat of the negative characteristics which inhabit your own mind and inhibit its functioning. Aikido has no tournaments, competitions, contests.  Instead, all Aikido techniques are learned cooperatively with your partners, emphasizing on motion and the dynamics of movement.

Azikiwe Aikido Club is the only Aikido dojo in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, founded in December, 2009.  Irrespective of race, age, or gender, we are practicing Aikido.  If you are intested in joining us, please don't hesitate,  new world is waiting for you.
